Adolescence hits 124M views, climbs past Dahmer on Netflix all-time list

Netflix’s British drama “Adolescence” has officially become the third most-watched series in the platform’s history, with a staggering 124 million views since its March 2025 premiere.

The four-part limited series has now overtaken “Dahmer: Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” in total viewership, marking a major milestone for the streamer’s English-language content.

Starring Erin Doherty and Owen Cooper, Adolescence follows the chilling story of a 13-year-old who commits a shocking act of violence by killing a classmate. The dark and emotional narrative has resonated globally, generating intense discussions about its bold themes and portrayal of teenage psychology. It now trails only “Wednesday” and “Stranger Things” Season 4 on Netflix’s all-time list of most-watched shows.

The show also held strong in weekly rankings, claiming the No. 2 spot on Netflix’s English TV list this past week with 9.7 million additional views. Leading the list was docuseries “Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing” with 9.8 million views. Other notable performers included “Pulse” (No. 3, 8.5 million views), “Devil May Cry” (No. 5, 5.1 million), and the true crime docuseries “Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer” (No. 6, 3.8 million).

The platform also saw success with the return of “Black Mirror” Season 7, which debuted at No. 4 on the English TV chart with over 7 million views, topping charts in 71 countries. Meanwhile, “North of North,” Netflix’s first Canadian original series, debuted at No. 9 with 3 million views.

With its rising numbers and continued cultural buzz, Adolescence is cementing itself as one of Netflix’s biggest breakout hits of the year.
