Pakistani sisters among 6 stars to reach Australian Junior Squash Open semis

Pakistan’s junior squash players made a strong impact at the Australian Junior Squash Open 2025, with six athletes advancing to the semi-finals across various age categories.

Held in Melbourne, the Australian Junior Squash Open 2025 continues to showcase international youth talent, and Pakistan’s young stars have made their presence felt.

In the Under-11 boys’ category, Ahmad Ali Naz impressed with a composed performance to secure his semi-final place. Meanwhile, fellow Pakistani Ahmad Raza Naz dominated Australia’s Manav Kagda in a straight-sets 3-0 victory.

The Under-17 division also saw success for Pakistan. Azaan Ali Khan secured a hard-fought win over an Australian opponent to reach the boys’ semi-finals, while Mahrukh Ali outclassed Meghan Wang of Australia to move into the girls’ final four.

In the Under-15 category, Sehrish Ali, sister of Mahrukh, continued her strong form with a commanding win over Chelse Paul to qualify for the semi-finals.

Mohammad Faizan Khan kept Pakistan’s momentum alive in the Under-13 division by defeating a player from New Zealand, while Mahnoor Ali advanced with a win over Victoria’s Maryam Ibrahim in the quarterfinals.

The finals of the tournament are scheduled for 17 April 2025. The event features top junior squash players from around the world, with Pakistan’s strong showing highlighting the nation’s rising talent pool on the global squash stage.
